Wednesday Update

ABORTION MILL UPDATE: In the last week, the Auburn Street abortion mill in Rockford was open four days, with approximately 12 children in the womb killed. Please join us in prayer on the sidewalk outside the mill on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays until noon, and Mondays. These are the usual days they are open. Your prayers and presence will make a difference.

The late-term surgical abortion mill that is set to open on Maray Drive has all their city inspections complete and they can open any time. We believe they are having a difficult time finding staff. We know through public records they already have $800,000, so they are able to keep increasing the amount of blood money they will pay for employees and it may only be a matter of time until they open.

Once we learn that they actually begin killing children by abortion we send out information on a pro-life rally to take place at the location.

THE GOOD NEWS:  The Pregnancy Care Center of Rockford is doing amazing work helping mothers, children and families.  Please support them when every you can.

CULTURE OF LIFE IN ROCKFORD:  The Rockford Family Initiative sent out email questionnaires to all Republican elected official and candidates for office, asking for a statement or their position on life. Thank you very much to Winnebago County Board member Aaron Booker, Sen. Dave Syverson, Rep. Joe Sosnowski, Alderman Frank Beach, and the Chairman and Vice chairman of the Winnebago County Party for their strong pro-life responses.

ILLINOIS ISSUES: (From IL Right to Life) On the morning of Friday, May 3, 2024 – three days before the filing deadline for ballot initiatives in Illinois - Governor Pritzker signed SB 2412, a bill that was passed through both legislative chambers in a 48-hour period this week which will block Parents Matter Coalition’s advisory initiative from appearing on the November ballot. SB 2412 will add three advisory questions that were written and chosen by the Democratic supermajority in the Illinois State Legislature to the ballot on Election Day. According to Illinois State Code, only three advisory questions may appear on the ballot. This means that the Parents Matter Coalition’s popular advisory question is now ineligible. Parents Matter Coalition was conceived in October of 2023 for the purpose of pushing back against the diminishment of parents’ rights in Illinois schools and in medical decisions for their minor children. PMC’s first major effort was the ‘Right to Parent’ ballot initiative, which would have placed an advisory question on the 2024 ballot concerning parents’ right to be involved in minors’ medical decisions, particularly with reference to gender transition treatments and abortion.
