Blessed Are Those Who Have Not Seen And Yet Believe
The graces and blessing of 40 Days for life were on clear display yesterday - Saturday, Feb 24th, at the Rockford abortion mill.
Over 30 people came out to pray. A group from St. Paul Lutheran sang hymns for an hour, a family from a non-denominational Christian church held a large pro-life banner, Catholics prayed the Rosary and Christians and Catholic prayed together asking God's forgiveness for abortion and His grace to help mom's and babies. Again, we believe God answered the prayers and sacrifices of His people.
This was Saturday - usually the busiest day of the week for the abortion business. The clinic directors car was there, the nurses car was there but the abortion mill parking lot was empty all morning. Even though the abortion mill was open not one mother went in.
When Steve Karlen spoke at our 40 Days for Life kick-off rally he reminded us of what Jesus said to doubting Thomas. “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
Thank you to everyone who is praying and sacrificing for love of God and neighbor during 40 Day for Life. We don't see very often the direct, tangible results of how God is using our prayers but an empty abortion mill parking-lot on a Saturday morning is a beautiful sign that God is saving lives and souls.
